It is frustrating to receive the OET score you needed, then discover that a regulator or application portal cannot see it. Once your result is available, give the right organisation access through your OET account. For ECFMG applicants, there is one further check that matters just as much: the MyIntealth ID, name and date of birth on your OET and ECFMG records must line up.

This guide takes you from “my result is out” to “the right verifier can see it”, without guessing which screen or ID matters. It applies after your result has been released. The organisation receiving the score has the final say on what it needs, so follow its own instructions where they are more specific.

In short

  • For most organisations: use Manage Verifier Access in your OET account, select the organisation by its full name and save or start sharing.
  • For ECFMG: share verifier access, give OET your MyIntealth ID and make sure your name and date of birth match your ECFMG application.
  • After sharing with ECFMG: allow up to three business days for the Pathways application to update.
  • Keep your Statement of Results: it is useful for your records, but direct OET verification may still be required.

Quick answer: how do you share OET results?

Log in to your OET account and use Manage Verifier Access to find the organisation by its full name. Select it, save or start sharing, then repeat the process for every organisation and OET Test that needs access.

That is the standard process for organisations that recognise OET. ECFMG applicants must also make sure their MyIntealth ID has been provided to OET and that their personal details match their ECFMG record.

Before you share: three checks that prevent delays

  • Check what the receiving organisation requires. A regulator, employer or registration board decides which OET test type and scores it accepts. Do not assume that a downloaded PDF alone is enough when direct verification is required.
  • Use the organisation’s full name. Search carefully in Manage Verifier Access and select the exact organisation from OET’s list.
  • Confirm which OET Test you are sharing. If you have taken OET more than once, repeat the sharing process for the result that the organisation needs to verify.

How to share OET results with a regulator, employer or other organisation

OET lets recognised organisations view the result you authorise. The account route changes slightly depending on how you took OET. The steps below follow OET’s published results-sharing instructions.

OET on Paper at a venue

  1. Log in to your OET account.
  2. Find your OET Test booking and open the drop-down menu.
  3. Select Manage Verifier Access.
  4. Search for the organisation by its full name.
  5. Select it and choose Save.

OET on Computer at a venue or OET@Home

  1. Log in to your OET account.
  2. Open the My Results tab.
  3. Select Manage Verifier Access.
  4. Search for and select the organisation.
  5. Choose Start sharing with this organisation.

You can remove access later through the same area of your account. Before you do, make sure the organisation has completed the verification it needs; stopping access too early only creates another follow-up.

For a visa authority, nursing board or employer, look for a specific instruction on its own website before you share. Some organisations have an additional application reference, portal step or document requirement that sits outside OET.

How to share OET Medicine results with ECFMG and MyIntealth

If you are an IMG using OET Medicine for an ECFMG Pathways application, select ECFMG through Manage Verifier Access as above. This is the point where many otherwise avoidable delays happen, so check the four details below before waiting for your Pathways portal to update.

  • Use your MyIntealth ID, not your USMLE ID. They are different numbers. For OET Medicine results released to ECFMG on or after 14 May 2026, ECFMG says the MyIntealth ID is required.
  • Check your full name and date of birth. They must match the information on your ECFMG application. A mismatch can prevent your result from being released.
  • Make sure OET has your MyIntealth ID. For OET on Computer at a venue or OET@Home, provide it during booking; if you need to update it after the test, use OET’s official update form. For OET on Paper, use OET’s official form to add the MyIntealth ID to your result.
  • Allow the transfer time. ECFMG says to allow up to three business days after you receive the required result or release it to ECFMG for the Pathways application to update.

Important: an OET Medicine result is only one part of a Pathways application. A shared, satisfactory score does not itself mean that an ECFMG Pathway has been approved.

Use the official OET instructions for sharing results for the current account steps. For the current ECFMG Pathways requirements, refer to ECFMG’s OET Medicine guidance.

Your ECFMG application has not updated: what to check

A Pathways update is not always immediate. ECFMG advises allowing up to three business days after you receive the required result or release it to ECFMG. If that period has passed, work through the checks below before contacting support.

  • Was ECFMG given verifier access? Check Manage Verifier Access in your OET account and make sure you selected ECFMG for the correct test.
  • Did OET receive your MyIntealth ID? Check that you used the MyIntealth ID rather than the USMLE ID.
  • Do your personal details match? Compare the full name and date of birth in your OET profile with your ECFMG application.
  • Is the result satisfactory for your Pathways application? ECFMG’s current 2027 Pathways FAQ states 350 in Listening, Reading and Speaking and 300 in Writing, achieved in one test administration.
  • Are you looking at the right portal? Check the status in your Pathways application rather than relying on a separate document download.

If your MyIntealth ID and date of birth are correct in your OET record but the result still has not appeared after the stated time, follow ECFMG’s current support instructions.

Your Statement of Results is useful, but it may not be enough

Download and keep your Statement of Results for your records. It is useful when an employer, regulator or visa process asks you for a copy. However, a PDF is not the same as direct verification. If the organisation needs to verify the score through OET, sharing access through your account is the step that lets it do that.

Think of the PDF as your copy and verifier access as the organisation’s confirmation route. Where an organisation gives a different instruction, its process takes priority.

FAQs about sharing OET results

Can I share OET results with more than one organisation?

Yes. OET says you can repeat the verifier-access process for each organisation and each OET Test required.

Is my MyIntealth ID the same as my USMLE ID?

No. ECFMG states that these are different IDs. For current OET Medicine result releases to ECFMG, use your MyIntealth ID.

How long does it take for OET Medicine results to reach ECFMG?

ECFMG advises allowing up to three business days after you receive the required result or release it to ECFMG for your Pathways application to update. Allow that full period before assuming there is a technical issue.

Can I stop an organisation from seeing my OET result?

OET says candidates can manage and remove verifier access through their OET account. Check that the organisation no longer needs access before you stop sharing.
