New OET Test Venue in the UK
From September 2019 onwards, if you are in the United Kingdom and plan to take the OET test soon, there is a new centre in town. Test takers can now take OET at Anglo-Continental in Bournemouth.
With the addition of this newest test centre, this means that there will be 22 official OET test centres in the United Kingdom alone. The other test centres are located in Birmingham, Brighton, Cambridge, Cardiff, Chelmsford, East Budleigh, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Leicester, London, Manchester, Melton Mowbray, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Nottingham, Portsmouth, Torquay-Devon, and Worchester, with some major cities having more than one test centre.
The OET is a popular test of English language proficiency of healthcare professionals, testing all four components of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It is recognised by an impressive list of professional bodies in the United Kingdom, including the General Medical Council, King’s College London, Nursing and Midwifery Council, Royal College of Emergency Medicine, Royal College of Opthalmologists, Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and University of Highlands and Islands.
