History Speaking Part 1 – Set 1

  1. Did you learn about the history of your hometown when you were in school?
    I never buy clothes without first checking how I look in the mirror. I don’t like inconveniencing shop-keepers by returning the next day to exchange clothes so I think I’m happier just getting it right the first time around.

Set 2

  1. Do you like history?
    I enjoy visiting historical places and reading books in a historical setting. However, I don’t really like studying it at school, the teacher doesn’t make it very engaging. I’d rather watch a documentary on telly.
  2. Did you read history books as a child?
    I didn’t read any history books when I was little. I think it is something you get into more when you get older. Although, I suppose fairytales are historical stories with princesses in castles and things.
  3. Do you know much about your town’s history?
    I have learnt a little about my village and its past. It was founded in the 1800s and has always been built around agriculture and farming as there is so much countryside that it is perfect for growing crops.
