AIMS Recognizes OET
Good news! The Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS) now recognises OET. This is welcome news for candidates who want to apply for Skills Assessment for migration and the AIMS Professional or Membership examination.
With this recognition, AIMS joins a long list of healthcare boards and councils in Australia which recognise OET. Among them are the Medical Board of Australia, Chinese Medical Board of Australia, Dental Board of Australia, Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, Optometry Board of Australia, Pharmacy Board of Australia, Physiotherapy Board of Australia, and Podiatry Board of Australia. Other non-AHPRA boards and councils also accept OET. These include the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council, Australian Dental Council, Australian Institute of Radiography, Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council, Australian Pharmacy Council, Australian Physiotherapy Council, Dieticians Association of Australia, Health Advisory Council, Occupational Therapy Council (Australia and NZ), Sino-Australia Association of Physical Rehabilitation Medicine, South Australian Medical Education and Training, and Speech Pathology Australia. In addition to these, the Department of Home Affairs of Australia also accepts OET for various visa categories.
Internationally, OET is recognised by medical councils and health authorities of various countries such as New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Dubai, Ireland, Namibia, Singapore, and Ukraine.
