From August 2019 onwards Canadians will have the option of three OET test centres to choose from when they take the OET test. The latest two OET test venues for Canada will be at the Centre of English Studies in Toronto and ILSC Montreal in Montreal. Prior to this, Canadians could only sit for OET in one test centre, which is Global Village Vancouver, Vancouver.
With the addition of these two new test centres, Canadian test takers now have the option to take OET in the three largest cities in Canada – Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto. Having three test centres in Canada is a testament to the growing popularity of the OET test, which is an English language proficiency test specifically for healthcare professionals. It tests the four language skills of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking and has been developed for 12 specific healthcare professions: Dentistry, Dietetics, Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Radiography, Speech Pathology and Veterinary Science.
